Technology has again changed music. Misa, a Sydney, Australia based company, has created a digital guitar. Before judging read this statement from the creator, “I did not intend the Misa digital guitar to replicate a traditional guitar.” The digital guitar requires no strings, only your hand. Your hand controls the sound and the digital guitar is used to create electronic music. To read more about the specs and software of the digital guitar go to www.misadigital.com. On the website you can also view a video of the digital guitar in use and appreciate its abilities, as well as put your name on a waiting list. Remember, “don’t compare Misa digital guitars to acoustic guitars or electric guitars. Those are different instruments, for different artforms, for different music.”
The computer gaming community can look forward to the release of the much-anticipated StarCraft 2. Blizzard Entertainment will be releasing the game in the early half of 2010. The StarCraft2 website, www.starcraft2.com, claims that the game will continue the “edgy sci-fi” StarCraft story, offer “unparalleled online play,” and run on a new 3-D graphics engine. The 3-D graphics engine will make renderings more vibrant and the game playing experience more “memorable.”
