“March of 1996, China launched missiles targeting near the ocean of Taiwan, trying to influence the outcome of the presidential election by a show of force”. Because of this event, many people living in Taiwan started to fear war. The stock market began to drop and people were fear about the currency of NT Dollar to other forms would be changed if one day it is taken over by the Communists of China by using the force. Almost in the end of the presidential election United States sent out many warships to the ocean between Taiwan and China just want to make sure that China would not use force on Taiwan in recent year. In 2000 before the presidential election, China said to Taiwan that there would be war if the pro-independent democrat party won the election and to announce Taiwan should be independent and they want to be independent. There will be a war anytime, even though you are in the toilet. The people living in Taiwan are afraid and the economy drop, also many people seek their way out of Taiwan. This is a big part of the reason why my family wanted to move to United State of America because no one wants to live their life under fear of invasion at anytime by a bigger power, like communist China. Taiwan should be independent and recognized by the world, not only known as another province of China.
Long time ago there was a civil war. The two parties were against each other. One of them call communist it was represent by people republic of china, and other one called nationalist it was represent by republic of china. The war was fighting for many years because each parties wants to have the authority to own the mainland china and to control everything to start new life of china. Nationalist was lost and force to move to a small island named Taiwan. They took a lot of money from the Chinese government. They located in Taiwan and start their own life. People start to build the house and do the business, so the economy growth very fast, they even had few big science parks in Taiwan. China was wondering if the Tech and economy growth more fast than they do, it could be a big problem to china. In these recent years China start to announce to Taiwan that Taiwan is part of china, and they said Taiwan is not an independent country. They want their island back, it made people in Taiwan start to angry because people who living in Taiwan was force by people republic of china to move to Taiwan, and now they want it back. Taiwanese people think they were using the force to make them to leave and now they want them back, to those Taiwanese it doesn’t make sense at all. China was using the force before and they are going to use force again to treat Taiwanese people.
If China takes back the island of Taiwan, does the education in china will affect Taiwanese people? As we can see the economy in China growth so fast but the education people learn are not as fast as their economy. For instance, there are many people are living in the country side; they don’t have money to study in order to get a good degree. The way they survive is farming, they farm everyday and in the end of the month they collect every small rices they farmed. Because they don’t have a good degree that was the only way they can survive. Other thing is will affect the education in Taiwan is the Chinese letterform. As we know in the past Chinese people were writing the simplified Chinese, it is easy to write because the stroke of Chinese character is less than traditional Chinese, so it makes difference. For example, 愛 this stand for love but if you write in simplified its like 爱, the reason why I will say this because when you love something you need to use your heart to put into it, the traditional Chinese as you can there is a love simpol write in Chinese, but not the simplified one, I don’t know if Chinese people are lazy to write our greatest Chinese simpo, tr they forget the origin Chinese simpo in the past.
From my point of view Taiwan should be considered as a member of the United Nation because Taiwan fulfilled many criterias. “Membership in the United Nations is open to all other peace-loving states which accept the obligations contained in the present Charter and, in the judgment of the organization, are able and willing to carry out these obligations’”. Taiwan does not like China which use the force to treat with their alliance because Taiwan don’t like to use the force to fight, they always said that they like to talk with someone in stead of fight. Fight can not solve the question, sit and peaceful talk was their purpose. Long time ago Taiwan was a member of the United nation, after that China join the United Nation and they said Taiwan is part of their island and Taiwan is not independent, by some how Taiwan has been kick out from the United Nation. The United Nation didn’t realize that the product which was made in China is cheap and fake even the product which was made in Taiwan is better than that. Taiwan has its permanent population of over 23 million which is larger than many other member states of the United Nations. In addition, Taiwan has a government which was peacefully changed from nationalist to democratic in 2000, and the government of Taiwan is sovereign over its entire territory (Yu). Therefore, The Republic of China should be independent, as all the criteria were fulfilled from the United Nations and States of its Rights.
Taiwan used to be a part of mainland China before the Chinese civil war. Though, Taiwan is not part of China now.Taiwan is a peace-loving country, it does not wish to have mainland China back under its control. Communist China will not let Taiwan become independent because of the many economic benefits, power, and land it would lose. Currently, Taiwan has its own government, leadership, economic structure, currency and its own military force; it is distinctly separate from mainland China. The Republic of china is already operating like its own country. It only lacks the world’s recognition, and China to peacefully set it free. Therefore, Taiwan should be independent and not under Communist China’s rule.
