Movie Review: Avatar

Try walking into a movie, a few minutes late, only finding the front row to be open and the rest of the theater completely full.  Everyone there is anticipating and waiting to watch Avatar in 3-D.  Packed theatre aside, I was very excited to see this "Avatar" movie that so many people had been fawning over for days.

In my opinion, I wish I would have seen Avatar without the added "3-D" effect. With the glasses on, it was evident there was something special about the movie, but was it better in 3-D? I don't think so. There were multiple times where I had to take off the glasses and continued to watch the movie.

To get the full effect of the 3-D experience, rear theatre seating is the best. The movie over all was very good; its story touched my heart and brought me closer to the Avatar world. I wish it wouldn't have been in 3-D. It made me dizzy and the heavy, black glasses weren't that comfortable to wear.

When the movie ended, I was in a haze from wearing those awful glasses and watching "things pop out at me" on the big screen. I was actually excited because I now had these really cool glasses to take home, I had to return them in.

Over all, the movie was very good, and I only complained about three times the whole movie about the glasses and 3-D effect. I would definitely go see Avatar again in a heart beat so don't let my little rant convince you other wise. Back to my point, Avatar in 3-D is NOT worth it, at least not while sitting in the front row!
